Where did the Otterhaus Name come from?
Coach George Ganoung raced bikes several times in Europe in the early to mid 2000’s via cycling programs established through US Armed Forces Sports. Both the team’s manager and director lived in the municipality of Otterbach-Otterberg in Germany (look it up, it's real!), and the cycling team often based itself in the same region. These trips were a big part of George’s development and adventure as a cyclist. And, otters, and their active, athletic and playful behavior, reflect the positive “complete athlete” vibe we are about. Combine these factors, and the name Otterhaus Coaching was born.
